Background and Mission
Our organization is partnering with the Dujiangyang Panda Valley Research Center to protect giant pandas. We are collecting money to fund re-introduction of pandas into the wild, research, and general costs including food, medical care, and general maintenance/upkeep costs. The Research Center currently houses 10 pandas, but when construction is finished it will have the capacity to house 30-40 giant pandas which will total about $5,824,000 in food and medical costs annually. They also need equipment and funds to fulfill their main program which is the re-introduction program. This program will integrate pandas born in captive back into the wild. With your donations we can help supply this center with food, medical care, and research equipment while increasing the number of pandas living in the wild.
Our goal is to raise enough money to provide for the 10 giant pandas currently residing at the Dujiangyang Panda Valley Research Center. That amount is about $2,000,000. This money will allow the pandas to be properly cared for as well as fund research and the re-introduction program. |
